 The Chook Book is the latest edition to a list of excellent poultry resources produced by the EPF. This book is aimed at the primary school age of 8-11 years old. The Chook Book is fully continuous with the New Zealand curriculum and covers such topics as:
- Historical linkages between birds and people
- Poultry meat and egg farming
- Chicken biology and behaviour (including comparisons to the kiwi)
- Meat and egg consumption and the role of poultry in human nutrition
