Welcome to the Egg Producer's Federation website!
Who are we? The Egg Producers Federation of New Zealand represents the interests of the commercial egg producers in this country. The definition of a commercial egg producer is all persons who purchase more than one hundred chicks per year. Membership is mandatory under the Commodity Levies (Eggs) Order 2005.
What do we do? A major role for the EPF is the maintenance of current quarantine standards to ensure the protection of New Zealand’s unique avian disease free status.
How are eggs promoted? Eggs Incorporated, funded by the EPF, is the organisation that is responsible for the generic promotion of eggs. If you are interested in obtaining information on the nutritional benefits of eggs, cooking and storage tips, egg structure and makeup or recipes and ideas visit the Eggs Incorporated website. The International Egg Commission's website, Think Eggs, is also great for this.
